Based the in the UK pianist and composer Carolyn Hume, as well as being a solo artist, is in the well established duo with percussionist Paul May and part of the quartet ‘Fourth Page’. Her current work includes being a member of both ‘Crystal Moth’ and the ‘Beresford Hammond Hume’ Trio.
A new solo and duo album are to be released later in 2017.
Over the years she has played and recorded with many artists,crossing genres from prog rock to classical and free improvisation. She has performed in Europe (both UK and Continental) and has also provided music for independent films, including work by ‘Xaver Walser'(Sub Gravity Films), ‘Stephen Portman'(Bal Erotique-Montreal), ‘Pan Macmillan’ and ‘Darron Davies’ (Elegy Japan).
Carolyn has worked and recorded with many artists including: Paul May, Charlie Beresford, Pete Marsh, Judie Tzuke, Patrick Dawes, Oliver Coates, Duke Garwood, Russell Webb, John McGeoch, Essam Rashad…
She has released through ‘Leo Records’,’Forwind’ and ‘The 52nd’.
Since 2000, Hume has recorded five duo works with Paul May and two solo recordings with composition for voice and cello on ‘Leo Records’.
